Annual Senior Citizens Christmas Party

Yesterday our Girls' and Boys' Brigades hosted our annual Senior Citizens Christmas Party. Everyone said how much they enjoyed themselves, Well done Girls and Boys, and special thanks to Rachel and Tim for organising it.

Last night we took the Company/Senior Section to Rush Trampoline Park. All had a great time there

What no food this week!

No cooking this week, so no updates either.
Next week is half-term and the following is a Light Party, so no meetings for two weeks.

With a little prep beforehand (pre-heating the oven) the Boys were introduced to this week's lesson - Pizza
These were made from ingredients that needed mixing and kneading.

After covering (Plain and pepperoni) they were cooked

Dedication Service and Captaincy News

Yesterday was our Company's and our Sister Girls' Brigade's Dedication service. It was good to see such a large number of Boys and Girls and Leaders there. There is still space for your son to join our Company, especially in the the older group (Company and Senior Section).
Also, Congratulations to Jamie as he is going to be taking on the role as Captain. We wish him well and offer all the support we can.

Cooking: Night one

After a quick pop-quiz on kitchen safety, the Boys washed their hands and were coached through making cheesecake.

Despite one having some biscuit rising to the top

they were edible and eaten by the Boys and

Officers, or taken home, at the end of the evening.

BB Year 2017/18 Started

All sections had a good turn out last night. There were a few boys missing due to school events or, in one case, illness. We look forwards to welcoming those back next week.

BB Weekend Away at Whitemoor Lakes

We took 6 Boys to the Birmingham Battalion  BB& GA Weekend away.

They had a great time with all the activities.
