Bronze and Silver D of E expeditions went well over the weekend of the
12-14 April.
Well done to Boys & staff.

Church Service - Footprints

Today the Boys helped lead the Church service. The theme was the poem 'Footprints' by Mary Stevenson. During the service four Boys and one Girl (From our Sister Girls Brigade) received their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Certificates - Well done to all five. The Boys are already planning their Silver expedition practice in April.

Snow Meeting

Despite the snow over the weekend we held a meeting tonight.We were down on Boys' but a few turned up for each section.

Summer Break

We've been a bit naughty in not updating the blog, but here were are

We've broken up for the summer and said goodbye to Jennie (our chaplain and Acting Captain and Leader in Juniors) We wish her well in Canada and welcome Lizzie to replace her. Well not totally replace, but to bring her own style. And we need to work out how much Lizzie will be picking up.

We also welcome Stuart, who is taking up the reins of Captaincy and look forwards to getting to know him better as he learns about us too.

 

The next event is Annual Camp in August for the Company/Senior Boys

Our next meeting will be in September.

Ali Baba at Hall Green Little Theatre, Fri 2 Dec

Six Boys (Four Anchor Boys and two Junior Section) plus two Officers went
to See the Pantomime Ali Baba at Hall Green Little Theatre on Friday (2nd
December)
This was a group booking organised for the Boys' Brigade, who took up half
the theatre.

The show was good, though I suspect the adults did more groaning at the
corny jokes and comments than the Boys. The Boys all enjoyed themselves and
so did the Officers.

New Session Dates: September 2011

Parade night recommences on Tuesday 13th September at the usual times. Full uniform please.

The first Parade Service is Sunday 18th September, which is a week later than the usual second Sunday.
